Dirty Works Beauty Range..

Finally got round to doing another blog post, its been a while since my last one. Currently I am sat with a homemade face mask on to help get rid of my awful spot scarring, which I am trying to keep on for 1-2 hours, whilst listening to the beautiful Ed Sheeran. Anyway that is a bit of topic so I will start talking about a brand called 'Dirty Works', on a website this is what is said about it 'Dirty Works is exclusive to Sainsbury’s and incorporates a range of body scrubs, body butters and bath products to leave you feeling pampered but not penniless!' Basically it's a beauty range and I am seriously in love with the items they sell.

Although today I will only be reviewing the items I have bought. Firstly Dirty Works has sort of copied Soap and Glory, if you are familiar with this brand you will know it has very vintage, classy packaging. In similar ways this is the look Dirty Works has also gone for, vintage yet fun! If the packaging wasn't as eye catching I probably would have just walked past the Dirty Works section in Sainsbury's isle. The packaging is what made me look twice and pick up a product of there's. Though I must say Dirty Works smells nothing like Soap and Glory, it has a fresh different smell. It is hard to describe.

Wake Up Call Face Wash - £3.99:
I haven't had this item for very long. I cannot give it a proper review due to that, although I have used it twice and the results have not being amazing. This may just be my skin type but I feel yes it leaves my skin really soft but it has made me break out, which I really don't want. It smells very nice, and has a lovely constancy it is a cream that rubs into your skin, which I like. Although I think I will continue to use this when my face is cleared up, and I feel I can trust to use it again. My overall score out of 5 for this product would be 2, this is just my opinion though. It may work really well on your skin.

All Of A Lather Body Wash - £2.99:
This was my first buy from the Dirty Works range, and I must admit it is one of my all time favourite body washes. It has Lemongrass extract, which I love because it is different and most of all smells fresh! It lathers up really well when I put it on to my sponge, another thing I like. When you squeeze the Body Wash out of the lovely packaging it is a clear blue Body Wash, I personally like girly coloured body washes but this is ok because I do love the smell. Overall out of 5, I would give the Dirty Works Body Wash a 5 out of 5, simply because I love the packaging and I am obsessed with the smell!

Go Balmy Berry Lip Balm - £2.99:
This product did come with cute pokadot packaging but I threw it away, sorry! Anyway, I love this product it tastes of Strawberries and is a little bit like Vaseline, although it doesn't feel greasy. It adds a shine to your lips and looks lovely over lipstick, as it give a glossy shine. I would recommend this product if you have dry, chapped lips but don't like the greasy feel of Vaseline. Overall I am going to give this product a 4 out of 5, simply because I am not keen on the plain packaging it doesn't look very girly and is just too plain for my liking. Although it works like it should and is an overall good lip balm.

Dirty Works, Eye and Brow Brush - £1.99:
This product also came with lovely pokadot packaging but I threw it away also, sorry again! I have been looking for a Eye and Brow Brush for quite sometime now, I have had my eye on the Elf one although it is hardly ever in stock and I have given up trying to purchase it. So I was going through the make-up isle of Sainsbury's and I notice Dirty Works also do make-up brushes, I was amazed! Brushes I can remember them selling are the Eye and Brow Brush, Powder Brush, Foundation Brush and they also do False Eyelashes. I though they would be quite pricey but they are the same as Elf to be honest, so I put the Eye and Brow Brush in my basket and paid. I am very happy with the brush it does everything I want, which isn't much as it is just sorting out my eyebrows! It is a very simply black brush which has Dirty Works written in white on the handle of the brush, very sleek! Overall I would give the Eye and Brow Brush a 5 out of 5, as it does everything I would expect from a Eye and Brow Brush, love it and it was cheap, bargain!

Concluding Paragraph About Dirty Works:
I must say I am very impressed with Dirty Works, as I feel it is just as good as Soap and Glory. Soap and Glory finally have competition! Anyway in love with the products I have purchased from Dirty Work, I will defiantly be buying more! I think there products are to a high standard but at the same time they are affordable for everyone. So go down to your local Sainsbury's and try out Dirty Works!

Lastly I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year! I will be doing blog posts after then, due to the fact I have a lot on on the upcoming weeks. There will be many product and clothing reviews etc, so remember to keep checking out our blog. See you all then.

How cute!? Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year from all of us!

Christmas Shopping Season..

Today I have come home mega early from school due to the fact I feel like rubbish.. I have nothing else to do but lay in bed all day and watch day time TV, so I thought I would do another blog. Geeeze, I am really getting into the whole blogging thing!

As you might have guessed from my last post, I went to The Trafford Centre to do Christmas shopping for clothes. I went with my Mum, I picked out the clothes and she bought them for my Christmas presents (in no way am I bragging here or acting like a spoilt brat, I am no where near one), so yeah they are all Christmas presents off my Mum and Dad which I am very grateful for, they have now been put away until Christmas day. I went to various shops such as Hollister, The Mac Counter, Jack Wills, BANK, River Island, Topshop, Lush, Next etc. I personally think the items I picked up are so nice, so I thought I would show you all. Ah here is the catch, my Mum has hid them from me! Sadly I can only show you the bags and images from the websites..

Topshop: I bought a lovely cream cardigan from the sale, originally £45 and I got it for £20. I don't have an image for this product though.

BANK: I bought two items from BANK which I love. Firstly I bought a pair of brown chino's, which have braces at the back. They weren't to pricey compared to Topshop and River Island, I paid £35 for them. Next I bought a item I had my eyes on for a long time, it is a gorgeous brown/maroon coloured cardigan shrug. It is very unique and I haven't seen many like this, it cost £30 which I know is quite expensive but for an item you can wear all year round it is reasonable. This is what they look like..

River Island: I bought two items from River Island, one is an item of clothing the other is a scarf.  The top/jumper is a nice cream colour with lace leaves all over the front and back, this is why I bought it because I love the design. The scarf is a mixture of browns, yellows and greens etc, and has tassels on the bottom of it. I choose this because I thought it would look nice for school as well as going out. The top/jumper cost £20 and the scarf cost £13. Here are the images of the products..

Jack Wills: I love all the Jack Wills items, I think they are such good quality and really nice designs. I picked up a pair of knickers from Jack Wills, which are the red and white ones. I have wanted these ones from quite awhile now and they cost £12.50. They look like this, sorry about the quality of the picture, I had to get it off Google due to the Jack Wills site being down..

Mac: As you all know from my last post I got a Mac Studio Fix Foundation in the shade NW20. If you want to read more about this product please read my other post about it. Basically I love this product, its amazing! It cost £19.50 but you have to pay £3 for a pump, ridiculous, so it came to a total of £20.25 as it was a 10% day. Here is a picture of the foundation if you have not already seen it..

Hollister: I didn't buy any clothes from Hollister just two bottles of spray. In Hollister it is £10 for one bottle or £14 for two bottles, I decided to get the £14 deal due to the fact it is more sensible and the better deal. I got the scents 'Solana Beach' and 'Crescent Beach' they smell amazing. I will use them everyday for school and going out, I think they are lovely affordable smells. Here is a picture of them..

I also bought a few things with my own money for my family and friends. I am no way bragging here or acting spoilt, I just though I would show you guys what I like at the moment etc, incase you see these clothes in any of my videos and wonder where they are from. Hope you enjoyed this post!

Mac Virgin No Longer!

Yesterday I took a trip to The Trafford Centre with my Mum, to buy my clothes for Christmas! I also picked up some other items from Mac and Hollister for Christmas as well, and well I thought I would do a cheeky Blog about my Mac Foundation, even though I'm not ment to have taken pictures. Ah well what my Mum doesn't know won't hurt her, I've put it back in place. Less of me blabbing so here goes:

I have never had anything from Mac before, yes I know your probably thinking am I crazy! But finally, I bought a new foundation 'Mac's Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 in NW20' it cost £21.50 with the pump as it was 10% off! I went to the stall and was stood there for about 10 minutes just looking at all the foundations, I was clueless. Luckily a nice woman came over, I described what I would like from a foundation, she then said Mac's Studio Fix Fluid would be best for me. She then tested 1 colour on me and got it right straight away, Genius!

Me and my Mum were so impressed with the foundation, as I suffer from spot scaring and spots. It covered them up so well, you couldn't even tell I have them! If you suffer from the same thing as me, I would defiantly recommend this foundation, it is literally amazing! It feels so light on your face, you can't even tell your wearing foundation and it matched my skin colour so well! It also is a Matte finish, so there is no oily skin, although I would recommend setting it with a Bronzer.

Basically this is just a Blog about how much I recommend the Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation. If you have anymore questions please leave a comment below. Sadly I can't post a before and after photo of me with the Mac Foundation, as I have to wait till Christmas Day!

Nails Inc..

Hey guys, so yesterday 25.11.11 i finallllllly decided to get the GLAMOUR magazine with the free nails inc. nail polish in it. I had known about the offer type thing for a while, but i hadn't been down to my local sainsburys or like any shop to get it :/ but i finally got it and i have a few piccies to show you:D although i have to say that the flash on my camera makes the polish look like a hot pink/red colour, but it's not like that at all it is a deep red and it's gorgeous!

So as i have said before i got it in GLAMOUR magazine so therefore it was free (apart from paying for the magazine itself which was £2). I found that to buy this product it would be around £11, but i did not look at lots of websites for this price so sorry if this is not the cheapest offer. To be honest i didn't really like the brush, i much prefer the No7 nail polish brushes. But i absolutely love the colour that i picked out..well it was the only one left but i think it is one of the best! Another thing i would say is that if you want to get an opaque colour, then i would put on 2 coats because i only put one coat on and it's not one solid colour. I LOVE the packaging, i think that is it so sleek and it's simple but effective, i also like the fact that the lid type thing:L is circle becuase when there is a square lid, it never lines back up properly, if you get what i mean? :L Overall i think that this is a great product and in the future i am definatly going to buy some more of these nail polishes!
i hope you liked this little review, and we will definatly be doing some more!

Hair Product Of The Month!

So I just though I would do a quick blog telling you guys about my personal favourite hair product of the month, which is.. 'Bastiste Dry Shampoo In Diva'. I love it, its a great product for rushed mornings or nights. It smells really fresh, summery and strong, it also keeps your hair from looking greasy throughout the whole day, which is all I would ask from a dry shampoo!

I use mine generally on school days, when I'm rushed in the mornings seen as I have to catch a bus very early. I got mine from Superdrug for £3.99, I think? I know some people will be thinking if your hair is a little bit greasy why don't you just shower? Well I really don't like washing and using heat on my hair everyday as it is unhealthy, so that is why I use Batiste Dry Shampoo the day after I have washed my hair. Its a great product that should be more well known, I would defiantly recommend Batiste Dry Shampoo! Go and check it out!

Party Frock Problem!

Hiya..

So today I sort of need your help and opinions on a clothing item. This dress isn't going to be worn as a causal item as I am ordering it especially for my 16th Birthday House Party that will be taking place soon. I'm in love with the dress, its exactly what I'm looking for, as its not to plain and its not to short etc.. Its just right for my little gathering! But here's the catch, it comes in so many colours! Here are the three colours I like the most, but I cannot decide which one to get..

This is also what all three of them look like from the back..

So shall I get A, B or C? (A being the first dress, B being the second dress and C being the third dress) Help me please!? I'm thinking more B because its such a unusual and unique colour, and its like WOW! Remember this dress is for a very important 16th Birthday House Party. All the dresses are all from Topshop and all cost £55.00 each. Lastly I will defiantly be styling it up with a pair of black heels or really nice heels and some gorgeous accessories! Thanks for reading this blog, and please remember to comment on either A, B or C.

So this is kinda a random blog post... but anyway so it's that time of year were there are a lot of car boot sales/boot fairs on so GET DOWN TO ONE! well if you wanna but you can find some really vintage pieces! i know alot of you will be like "eww, why would you buy from a car boot sale" well you can find so really good bargains but you have to look. Don't be afraid to have a look in boxes full of bags or on the clothes rails. so this is kinda a little car boot sale haul at the end of this blog but i bought too vintage bags from car boots recently, the first one is a white over the body bag with a gold square thingy and it cost me £1! The second bag is just a black bag with loads of different compartments again this was only £1! so get down to a local car boot sale and see what you can find!

Can You Help Me?

Hey!
Ok so again if you havn't seen this on youtube then here is my question to you. Do any of you have dry lips? Well i do, but when i put lip balm on there is like white stuff around the inner corners of my lips, i don't know if this happens to anyone else, but it gets really annoying because you can either have dry ugly lips, or white weird lips :S So i thought i would bring this to youtube because i thought, this can't just happen to me right? So if this does happen to you and you have a solution to this problem then inbox me on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/DarlingItsVintage?feature=mhee and i will see if it works for me! :)

First Post! ..and New Bedroom!

Hey!
Ok so this is the first post that DarlingItsVintage has done! It's really exiting... (sarcasm used) well all i wanted to say/do was really just put a post up on our blog because 1. We have had this blog for like a couple of days now and if we advertised it on our youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/DarlingItsVintage?feature=mhee and there was nothing there, then it would be abit of a waste of time! and 2. I just felt like doing one plus i have just had my room decorated so i thought i would share that with you. So if you didn't know what my bedroom looked like before it was decorated then look at this video and it basically shows you the whole of my room... http://www.youtube.com/user/DarlingItsVintage?feature=mhee#p/u/4/K9VSKgrBSIU Ok so basically all i did was paint the red walls (that are at the top and bottom of my room) a very pale pink colour, Sorbet Pink to be precise, ooo look at me being all organized! And then got a duvet and matching curtains, which are a Vintage Floral print, but they cost alot! :/ But yeah, after that all i got were some cheapo cream lamp shades and i also got one of those 'Love' things that are made out of wood and painted white and basically spell out the word love! There will be a room tour explaining everything and where i got most things, because some things i already had. So thats all i wanted to say really, there will be more posts being put up soon! Hope you liked this little snippit of info about my room don't worry if you are confused there will be a video to explain everything! luvs yah!
